Diane Cable, Founder & Executive Director

Diane is a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. She was the first white female born in the mystical city of Timbuktu, Mali, West Africa. Spending all of her childhood in an undeveloped country gave her a love for those who were less fortunate than those of us in the U.S. She now shows this love to the poorest of the poor in Haiti and in other undeveloped counties, such as Niger, Serra Leone, Ivory Coast and Tanzania.

She has provided leadership in the development of the clinic for Double Harvest Missions Clinic since its inception in 2000. Diane has worked to acquire most of the equipment, supplies, furniture and instruments to perform the surgeries. Double Harvest has been ranked among the top 10 clinics in the country. She has been taking teams of doctors, nurses and construction crews down to the clinic for the past 16 years. Her passion is contagious and spreads to those who have traveled with her. Many volunteers make return trips. Her love for the staff and patients at the clinic is evident in her smile whenever she shares stories of the staff and patients in her care.

Susan Stitt, Treasurer

In her everyday life, she’s wife to her husband, Randy, and mother to three daughters. Having fallen under the passionate contagion of the Executive Director, Diane Cable, she recently had the privilege of going on the latest mission trip to Haiti, and serving the medical team as a cook. During the latest trip with MMM’s unofficial partner, Ephraim Orphanage, Susan served as an interior decorator, painter and a really fun friend to the orphans! She is very excited about the changes on the horizon for the Haitian people, and she’s thrilled to be a part of a community of people committed to helping them from home.
